![]() GOOD CHARLOTTE Good Charlotte will be at The Rave July 9th with Boys Like Girls, Metro Station, and The Maine. We caught up with Deano from the band and asked about the tour, the CD, and more.
Hey guys, we're looking forward to having you here at The Rave on July 9th for the Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour. Milwaukee is the second date of the tour, with Chicago being the first. How are you filling your time between now and July 8th? We are rehearsing for the tour and shooting a video for our new single "Where Would We Be Now." For the Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour, is it a co-headline tour? Will you be alternating who plays last each night? Or is it a set schedule? It's a co headline tour. It is a set schedule. How involved is the band in planning tours (dates and bands)? Or is that all done by agents and managers? We plan everything with our booking agents and managers. We are very involved in all the tour planing. Which bands have you most enjoyed touring with during your career, and why? We just did some festivals with Muse & Korn. They are both awesome bands and great people to hang with. I can't think of any TV commercial with Good Charlotte music in it. What are your thoughts on music licensing? We are in to it if the situation is right for us. Good Morning Revival with radio single's "The River", "I Don't Wanna Be in Love" and our new single "Where Would We Be Now" is an evolution for us. We are very proud of this record. The whole record is filled catchy good Charlotte hooks. The new single is "Where Would We Be Now." What's the story behind that song? This song Benji and Billy wrote. The idea behind this song is put yourself in to the head space of where you life would be now if you would have made different decisions in the past. What made you decide to bring Don Gilmore (who produced the debut CD) back on as producer? Did he bring anything out of you on this record that was unexpected? We all love Don he's amazing. Don made us try some different groove and feels on this record, which was fun. Obviously, you have a very loyal fan base. How do you communicate with them? Do you get a chance to answer letters or emails on the road? We love our fans "The GC family." We are on Goodcharlotte.com and our myspace all the time blogging and staying in touch. A lot has happened since people first started calling radio for "Little Things." What's been one of your favorite moments in your career (so far)? Its so hard to pick a favorite moment. All 5 of us are so grateful for what we have had the chance to do. Every time we play is a favorite moment for Good Charlotte. Are there any professional goals you've set for your career that you haven't accomplished yet? We want to win a grammy. Good Charlotte has been a great supporter of PETA. What other charities or causes do you support? We been involved in The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, H&M's Designers Against Aids, Keep a Child Alive, Kristen Brooks Hope Center, Youth aids, Music for Relief, and many more. How seriously do you take the "role model" aspect of being in a hugely successful rock and roll band? Everyone one of us in the band wants to be a good role model. We think it's very important to be aware of what you are saying and putting out to the world. We all believe in being positive in our lives and work. Thanks again for your time. I just want to remind the fans that the show is July 9th with Boys Like Girls, Metro Station, and The Maine. Tickets are available at The Rave box office, and Ticketmaster.
